A Ray of Hope

There is a little mood i feel at this very moment that makes me want to celebrate Christmas. I've not been feeling the "Christmas Spirit" since the start of Advent and today there was a great Epiphany that is leading me to believe that its all worthwhile.

Somehow everytime i say Christmas now i feel a sense of security and happiness deep within my being and its something i've not felt before today.

I suppose by getting older, you get a little more wiser, but i highly doubt thats the case here, although it may be a contributing factor :)

Oh Well! Wishing Everyone a Blessed Christmas and Wishing You a Happy, and Great New Year as Well! :)

Cheers.

PTSD: Post Technical Support Disorder

PTSD: Post Technical Support Disorder

The Hidden EpidemicBy Brian Briggs

Silicon Valley - That rude technical support person who just told you to "format C: and shove it" may not be the incompetent ass you think she is. Chances are she is suffering from a little known psychological disorder called Post Technical Support Disorder (PTSD). Symptoms of the disorder include: extreme irritability, telephone phobia, night terrors, recurring flashbacks and nausea. In extreme cases victims have suffered from hallucinations, usually about strangling callers with phone cords. PTSD is most common among telephone support personnel, but field support and internal help desk staff are also at risk.
Are you at risk?
Simon Yang who does support for Westlook Software and suffers from PTSD said, "The nightmares were the worst part of it. In the dream I would be on a call and the caller would keep repeating 'I didn't change anything and now it doesn't work' over and over and over. I would wake up screaming."
Help desk manager Kevin Dyer was unaware that most of his staff was suffering from PTSD until he held a special PTSD Awareness Day, "I just thought all my staff was pissed off at the world, you know, some Gen X rebellion thing. I was surprised to discover that 10 out of 11 people on my staff had PTSD. The other guy was just an asshole."
Jennifer Fassihi suffered for seven years before being diagnosed, "People thought I was just bitchy," said Jennifer, "so did I, until I found out it was PTSD. With therapy and medication I can now handle idiotic customers without breaking anything."
PTSD can be diagnosed by a doctor or psychiatrist using a simple questionnaire. A condensed version of this questionnaire is available as a pamphlet, which is being distributed to technology companies in Silicon Valley to raise awareness about the disorder. If you think you or someone you care about may be suffering from PTSD please visit http://www.ncptsd.org or begin drinking heavily.

Some Ppl have the life

There is collegue in my office that works 12 hour shifts for 4 days a week, which totals his hours to 48 hours a week, the rest of them work 10 hours 5 days a week which totals to 50hours.

how is it that working a longer shift gives better hours (avoid traffic inconveniences), better renumerations (bonus 500 allowences), and less hours a week in general.

there are also break moments of 15min, lunch 1 hour, break 15 min, and 30 min break which totals to 2 hours for the 12 hour shift workers.

and for the 10 hour shifts, its 15,1hour,15...
looks like i would like to apply for a longer duration for a better life :P

P.S.
the downside of the 12 hour shifts is that i will have to work at least 1 day of the weekend and my off will be random within the week.
[which i think is beautiful as most office work like banking can be done on days like that :)]

The Moon's Slumber

The Night is Calm as a Desert Sky,
An Angel Prayer is Heard a Cry,
a Hymn is Sung from a Lowly Vessel,
At the Edge of the bed Upon a Tassel,
A Sound Resounds Back an Echo,
A Calm Breeze Which Stills the Heart,
To Beg the Mind to Let Go,
and Accept that Goodbye's the Only Will,
But a Prayer Still Sung out Upon Nigh,
Adamant Still Across the Plain Sky,
Do Not Forsake a Lovers Soul,
For to Break a Love is to Kill the World..

The World can still Change

Sometimes when you least expect it, the world can show you something truly amazing. I remember that most of the time, people will never think of the benefit of others, all people do is think abt themselves.
This is a very fundamental belief that is embedded in us all; survival of the fittest.
But sometimes when you least expect it, you get strangers and friends that show you gestures that would just shock you and compel you to do just that, A Random Act of Kindness. and its a beautiful sight.
If there were more people with the ability to randomly do things and make it a lifestyle, this country that i have been living in all my life, that has thought me the skills and positive morals that i should adhere too will become the place i dream it to be.
I believe now that at the grassroots level of peoples, that change is possible and we are having a change for the better, if only people in the upper ranks can do something about it, (doesn't have to be huge or large, but something) then we would definitely have a great flux towards achieving the goal of the country and further push it against the global market.

Youth of the Nation! or maybe just Fatima! :P

Youths now seem to be very lively in the church i attend, Our Lady of Fatima in Brickfields. They have been up and about since the recent youth rally and are making waves in events, activities and social circle.
The best part about it is, the integration we have with the Youth in its entirety, which means we are making the youth of the Tamil section and English section work as 1 body and not 2 separate movements. This is making a great headway as it leaves room for understanding, cooperation and unity in a greater scale that has never been seen before. (at least not in this church)
Its also good to know that we are not excited to meet up and debate/discuss on upcoming activities for ourselves and the church because we are more peace with the system and ourselves.

The people behind the scenes that are supporting this head temporarily before the entire team comes in full force are.... (drum-roll...............................)

Joy Nathan
Jeremy Gavin
Damian Emmanuel
Jeffrey Gavin
Corinna De Souza
Sheeba Frank
Emmanuel Frank
Jerome Frank
Alicia Hamilton
Eddie Indran
Jane Magdalen
Richard
Clement Xavier

and pending back into the team (sorry if i cant remember all members) but as far i can remember, they are:

Geraldine Mable
Jasmine Marieanne
Fiona Aurelia
Karen

With these charismatic youths, I believe that the youth of Our Lady of Fatima, Brickfields will be successful and be able to carry on the flame of the youth to current and upcoming leaders. :)

Reminicing 2009 already!

The year was great with lost of fun,
Friends from near and far abound,
Tear of happiness and sadnesss loom,
tasting sweet nectar and bitter gloom,

New relationships form from most unlikely,
Old ones renewed to strengthen ties,
Independent endevours pursued throughly,
Another friend or family dies,

Experiences and experiments we tinker daily,
Just like the old faithful we often work up,
Holding strong just like Old Bailey,
On and on we strive to carry on strong,

As we push the last quarter of 2009,
We dream of dreams great and benign,
And pushing them through with sher will,
Another year we'll push through still.

My Condolences

My Good Friend Adam Anthony's mom passed away yesterday, God Bless her soul. She has been diagnosed with cancer since the third stage and she refused the treatment due to the aggressiveness of the treatment and side effects.

She is in a better place now, and i wish all of them well. Its good that she didnt suffer much during her last moments as she passed away peacefully with the company of her loved ones.

My Condolences to Adam and Sophia Jane as i know that you are left with a sorrow in your heart now. I will always lend a helping hand and pray for you. Hold strong man and may you always be enlightened by the will of God.

Blu Ray Galore

Its that point of time where technology is getting greater to the point that, size does matter. I started watching DVDrips only a few years ago and im really satisfied with the quality of the images.
Now with the advancements of High Definition, multi-Audio channeling, Large resolutions, Higher Compressions, Things are certainly looking to be better for sure.
Blu Ray is a disk that can hold up to 25Gb of data on a single disk. Thats close to 6 times from a regular DVD that i was referring to before.
With my current 7 Channel audio set up, i can appreciate it only now with the true surround coming from BluRay.
Truly we live in a Pure Digitalistic society where High Definition Digital Media, is already captivating us into heights that was completely beyong bounds just a decade ago.
I am only wondering now, how is it technology will better disk capacities and codecs to further improve on the 25Gb Bluray disk technology.

Coffee with Milk No Sugar

Coffee has been a Substance that has created a global phenomena since its popularity in 1598. its humble origins from Ethiopia expands quickly to Yemen and concurrently to Northern Africa.

Because of its bitter flavour, its powerful effects and rarity at the time, coffee became whats known as a posh dream only available for the rich and to select traders. The introduction of coffee to asia started in India and moved along to the Spice Islands and then China.

Now the best coffee in the world is available from select parts of the world such as some countries in the Americas, Indonesia and some parts of Malaysia.

Traditionally, coffee was always accompanied with sugar to soften the harsh effect of the bitter flavour, but coffee connoisseurs have long understood that the intense flavour is what makes coffee special with the intense aroma and resolute sensation.

Variations of the popular standard expresso would include cafe latte, machiato, cappuchinno, and the like with the difference being the type of milk and the preparations.

Initiate

I feel now like an initiate. I just shaved my head again after a long time and feel liberated from the social norms of conforming society. Its also fun to know that everyone i know will now give me a probably distasteful look and a look of intrigue, if not many questions floating in their head.

whatever the outcome, i am satisfied with not overthinking things sometimes and just doing what i wanna do.:)

Cafe Latte with nasi Lemak and tambah sambal annai!

The colours of Malaysia really amazes me because you can be the most prim and proper british with royal birthright or a descendant of the Sultan or a city slicker or kampung boy, and still share something in common.
The Royal Malaysian attitude is just catered to anyone who's anyone and its amazing. :)
I love the fact that when you are nearing the months between September and April, the colours of the events and festivals are just glittering with wonder, amazement and serenity. The beauty of the colours is just something that is forgotten in most other parts of the world and is still practiced in Good ol' malaysia.
Be it Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Christmas, Deepavalli, Chinese New Year, Thaipusam, Aidil-adha, Mooncake Festival, Easter Sunday, Chap Goh Meh, its all something special that everyone celebrates as a whole by just being Malaysian.
I love the fact that by ordering a Cafe Latte with Nasi Lemak, (of course with extra sambal) can fit into anyone born, bred and raised in the fair land of Malaysia.

The Plan that was Almost

just as i've sent the faxes and got the approval to leave, i get a call from them noting that everything is now alright.

talk about a long day if i had to travel to seremban to settle a server issue.

Yay! there is a youth meeting tonight to discuss about the agenda of the youths.
To all PMR Candidates, wishing you a peaceful time and peace of mind on your exams this coming week. :)

Linguist Dreams

Becoming someone who can be good at something is really a dream of anyone i would say. To be successful and having the characteristics that makes you a leader. The hardest part in my case is not the actual learning, but the motivation and companionship to continue learning.

I joined the field of Computer Science because it comprised of 2 of my favourite elements which is computing and science, but i never thought of myself and a computer Scientist at the very least even till this date.

What i have been told is that i am a "Jack of all Trades, and Master of None" and seriously, i loathe the phrase. I have a dream and ambitions as well and would love to specialize in a field of expertise that no one else can do.

Now after facing the likes of Java, C++ and dot.net, i have moved on to more common sets of language which involve human interaction.

English, Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin, Tamil, Japanese, German, Spanish, Latin are some of the few in which i wouldnt mind to pick up. Bus as always, its a struggle to keep in practice all these components when there is no one to keep you practicing.

Maybe im just overthinking it like i usually do, but i suppose, its my rational mind that wants to work things out highly. :)

Last Night!

Trust is not something that just pops up, its something you earn. But how can you earn the trust when the basis is distrust?
Yesterday just out of the blue, i had a friend that actually gave me splendid advice on how i should evaluate my life. Talk about perspective. I've never had someone tell me how should i open my thoughts and perspectives in such a way that is so profound.
I now have to re-evaluate the course i am headed to into taking things that i am interested in, i want to:
pick up another 2 languages,
take up more certifications in system security, networking and computing,
Get my engineering Masters
have a commitment to do all these above by the time i hit 30.

Its as though God himself gave me a revelation yesterday to take a hard look at my life and decide on which road i should take, and his angel definitely gave me a good push. If only the world exists with more angels like that, i'm sure that it'll be a better place. :)

Network Administrators....

Many people that have newly purchased a Network Administrator either don’t understand them or need advice on how to handle one. Below are frequently asked questions to better help you work with your new network administrator.

Q: My network administrator seems distant, and doesn’t want to socialize with the other workers.

A: NAs are private beings that interact best in Internet chat rooms and e-mail rather then on a more personal level. Just give your NA some space and he or she might come to you on their own. It may also be that your NA is lonely or exhausted. If after a year your, NA still doesn’t fit in, try hiring another one.

Q: My network administrator constantly insults the other workers.

A: It is never a NA intention to purposely insult a co-worker. It is just there are many times when your NA is working on several issues at once, (a thing that we like to call, multi-tasking) and the section of their brain that is responsible for pleasantries is pre-occupied with running the network, all the servers, the workstations, website, mail servers, SQL server, hubs, switches, routers, and the backing up of mission critical data. And when someone interrupts their train of thought by asking a stupid question, a NA responds the best way he or she can without actually strangling you to death.

Q: My network administrator doesn’t seem to have a penis?

A: Ah, do not be concerned. If your NA doesn’t have a penis, it is most likely that you have purchased a female model. Do not let this alarm you! You can treat her exactly the same as if she did have a penis. If however, the absence of a johnson is just too confusing for you, you may order replacement parts or an add-on. However, we don’t recommend that you do this as it will most likely slow down, even retard your unit.

Q: My network administrator doesn’t want to spend his or her days off repairing home computers.

A: Network administrators are very selfish with their free time, days off and vacations. A lot of managers don’t understand this and are often confused by the unwillingness of a NA to repair co-worker’s home computers on the weekends...what was your question again.

Q: My network administrator has access to important company data and e-mail. Should I be concerned that he or she might use this data against me or my company at a later date?

A: This is a common concern with many owners of a network administrator. Understand that a network administrator is a professional and only handles your data and never looks at it. However, there have been some isolated cases where some network administrators have malfunctioned as a result of being replaced with overseas replacement workers or laid-off due to failing to report correct corporate earners to the government. And yes it is true that many of these "disgruntled" network administrators helped lead government investigators to hidden corporate data. But this doesn't mean it can happen to you. Providing that you haven't been guilty of any of the above actions.

Q: How should I manage my Network Administrator?

A: NA need little managing. The difficulties with trying to manage a NA is that most managers know nothing about computers, networks or well anything technical. So to try and manage a person that has a far more superior brain than your own, would be insane. Our best advice to you is; let your NA do his or her job without interfering. Your company will be better for it.

Q: My NA uses words and a language that I find difficult to understand.

A: NA are trained in a language different than the one you were taught to use in your communications, liberal arts class, or that MBA. NA speaks in acronyms and only use the 0 and 1s in numbers. This is why purchasing a 10K piece of computer equipment doesn’t seem that unreasonable. If you are having troubling understanding your NA, just ask him or her to explain what they are talking about. NAs are always willing to explain terms. Although, be prepared to feel stupid.

Q: My NA dresses different than the rest of us?

A: Your NA has a very good understanding of the importance of corporate appearances. IBM, Ford and Microsoft have all realized that people work better when they can dress however they want. Your NA is simply dressing the way that he or she can better perform their duties.

Q: My NA won’t address me by my title, and doesn’t seem to respect me?

A: Sadly you speak the truth; your NA doesn’t respect you. Many managers believe themselves to be on a higher level than a computer genius. If you can’t correctly program your home VCR to stop flashing 12:00 every time your power goes out than how can you really expect your NA to respect you?

Q: My NA repeatedly touches himself and it makes the other staff members uncomfortable?

A: If your NA repeatedly touches his or her genitals in public it could mean that your NA contracted cyber herpes. If this is the case it should be treated immediately. It also falls within Plan B of your company medical benefits.

Q: My NA eats the other workers lunches in the company refrigerator.

A: This is a common complaint and one that you should address immediately. Network administrators that eat out of the company refrigerator can contract dysentery and sever stomach ulcers. If this is happening to you, make sure your NA takes a lunch break either off site or in his or her office behind a shut door without being disturbed.

Q: My NA is writing a book, reading the news on the Internet, playing computer games, talking to friends on the phone and building paper machete statues from the magazines of computer parts companies.

A: Don’t worry. If your NA is doing all of this, it is because he or she is happy and considers the workplace their home. This is most likely contributed to them spending more time at work than at home. Many NAs may not even remember they have a real home. If this type of behavior bothers you than it is recommended that you hire another NA so your current one can go home.

Q: My NA did something good, but I don’t know how to reward him or her, so I did nothing?
A: If your NA is constantly doing good things for you and your company, here are a few recommended ways to show your appreciation:

· Show him or her some respect

· Compliment your NA from time to time to show you care

· Be a little understanding when your NA works all night, goes home at 8AM and tries to get a little sleep before coming back at noon.

· Money: NA always view a raise or bonus as a sign you appreciate them.

Q: My NA did something bad, and I want to punish him.

· Don’t. 30 years of psychological research has shown that punishing your NA will have sever long-term effects on how and when the government audits your company.

· Don’t be afraid to apologize if you’re wrong.

· Don’t jump to conclusions because in most cases you don’t know what the hell you are talking about.

· Don’t leave your banking account number or social security number on your computer.

· Don’t have an inter office affair. Your NA will always know. And mostly likely, he is sleeping with her too.

Q: I can’t believe that my NA is worth what I am paying him or her?

A: Imagine what your company would be like if all your computers suddenly stopped working and no one could perform their daily duties. Ask yourself, how many people depend on their computers and database to do their jobs? Now, how much more would you be willing to pay to make all of that happen again? Allot more, uh?

Q: My network administrator makes obscure and meaningless jokes that no one else understands?

A: Ah, this is a tough one. Don’t try to understand the humor of a NA and don’t ask them to explain the joke. You have a better chance understanding how hydrogen is boiled off a star than you would understanding the humor of a network administrator. No, a star like the Sun, not like the movies.

Q: Where do I return my network administrator if he or she doesn’t work out?

A: Remember, you don't own a network administrator. They perform a necessary function that keeps your company running. If not for the network administrator you would still be using paper ledgers and abacuses.

Its that time of year again

Yesterday my office just alerted me on the tremors and vibrations and dizzy spells that they were having. i thought it was all just in the mind, until i packed up and left the office. upon arriving at the office lobby, i noticed that many workers and students were out of the building and were looking at the building. i asked one of them and they all agreed on the same thing, they felt tremors.

i never felt a thing, but that many people couldn't be wrong. anyways, i checked this morning regarding the news of yesterday and surely enough, there was a tremor because of an earthquake that happened in sumatera.

It that time of year again. Pray that all will be good for travellers and people alike.

Alienware M17x

I Just read a review on the Malaysian version of the Alienware M17x 17" Gaming notebook which is so sweet, its bound to be ridden with a lot of eye candies and masterpieces.

The authorised dealer for Alienware in Malaysia though is only DELL, since dell now has ownership since they bought over 'The Name' in Gaming, Notebooks or otherwise.

Specifications can vary from from RM5999 till >RM21K which is absurdly expensive, until you actually check out the items it comes with. everything from quad core, i7, to 8GB high speed memory, raid configuration, 3 Years Insurance and warranty (fully Covered), 64Bit processing and Operating system, SLi Graphics of the latest graphic card, the Screen of Beauty, Customazible logo's and features, fully anodized aluminium case with magnesium, pure bred for cinematic and gaming pleasure.

Heck it even comes with 5.1 Channel Surround and HDMI outpur which is beyond any other notebook computer i know to date besides the nearest competitor which is the Asus G2. Honestly however, The G2 is no where near in the looks department and the name which Alienware has established itself. A Thoroughbred in all departments. Did i mention that it also comes with a PhyX pre-processor just like the "beast" XPS that dell has previously launched, which gives it an additional advantage to run high rate of accuracy in physics engines which is in games and multimedia creation.

Premium Items such as Laser Cut Keys, Backlit Adjustable Colour keyboards, and some accesories to boot, will certainly make this notebook worthy of being the most unique in local markets with its closest rival in the looks department being a MBP. Though it surpases that through brute strength of the processor and rugged looks.

Jumping Ship

Whats develops loyalty, and what develops a sense of insecurity? why would someone defect or take an opposite side in an argument or debate. Why would someone just give up whatever he/she is doing now and just take things over elsewhere.

I have always had a dilemma because i have not set a sense of obligation to my responsibilities, possibly because i never had a something that would make me committed as much as i would have liked it.

Lets see how things go from here on out, and if opportunity can present me a better option.

Peace out.

The Days Cometh

The night covers the velvet sky,
The stars consumed by darkness,
I stand upon and wonder why,
Is the end of days Cometh,

But alas the sky as clear as day,
Wondering how it could be wrong,
For its all nothing but heresay,
And Humanity must be strong,

As for myself i look up the sky,
It feels as though i understand clear,
For everytime i wonder why,
I i quell in a statue state of fear,

A heart is just but a single object,
But capable of many great things,
I should never hold things is regret,
But sometimes the poison stings,

A sky so honest as the sky so blue,
Can still shade its honesty to untrue,
But unlike the sky which passes like wind,
I will persevere with nothing more than past sin,

Great is the world above and below,
How can future be so measly and shallow,
But an epiphany i seek is not in nature,
But in a friend i seek close to my heart.

VMWare Server Roxxor

i just managed to configure and use VMWare Server Version 2.01 and installed Ubuntu Linux 9.04 Server Edition and now i am configuring it to run a simulation fax software to be used and replaced into the office.

its an amazing feat for me because the default for most linux server packages are command line with no GUI, but now i've installed the gnome package for the GUI and updating the last bits whilst installing the software.

Interesting day today. :)

Time and Tide Waits for No Man

Time ceases for no person,
Time marches on and on,
Time does not need a reason,
To watch a child get born,

Time waits for no diseased,
Time waits for no lovers,
Time waits for no comfort,
Time waits for no sorrow,

But time is bountiful to the fortunate,
and yet to some abundance of nothing,
how do we play the game of life,
when uncertainty is all we strive.

Time may wait for no one, but to hold a friend, a family, a cherished one, a loved ones a relative, a companion, a teacher, a mentor, a student, a child, a brother, a sister, a father or a mother is all that matters whilst you have the chance.
Never waste the opportunity to live life with others when you are capable.

When the going gets tough...

This week im mentally exhausted and utterly tired. Not to mention, that im completely broke from all the work i've been conducting in the past 3 weeks. i have paid my bills, taken care of my mom, paid for the car repairs and upgrades, had some "luxury" dinners, and still have more to do by the end of the week.

It's been a trying time for me as i've never done so much work in my life :S

But in the end i know i would just have to raise it to the Lord and Thank him that i at least have friends and people who care about me and are willing to help me when the going gets tough :)

As the saying goes with a little bit of 'rickroll' here:
When the Going Gets Tough, The Tough Gets Going"

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri Al-Mubarak

Tradition is something that i would take into account and to appreciate in this country of Malaysia which I live in. We are united by every creed, colour, race and religion and its really something to be proud of. Like humans we all are, we tend to sometimes go astray and play the accusing game of who did what, but all in, we live in a beautiful society.

Its the same for a computer afficianado to have no segregation when running windows, linux, dos, OSX, Netware, Solaris, or what not that there should be integration between these systems and a network.
(Geek moment here)

I'm Taking this opportunity on wishing all my Muslim friends a very Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri and wishing them well in their celebrations.
Maaf, Zahir & Batin to all and Remember, invite me for the Rendang and Ketupat :)

Monday Blues

It starts....
Today i left a beautiful home on which i live in and have the knowledge that when i get back today, it'll be in shambles (figuratively speaking).
i will be home with no internet line, with a pool of water in my room, plumbing uncertainties, an empty home(for the most part) and living with practically nothing in my hands to work with for some time.
I'm thankful that this coming weekend will prove to be a long awaited break with the long weekend, but before that i would have to endure this week 1st.
I do hope that i will persevere and outdo myself with the challenges that come my way.
Peace out!

Moderation is the Key

Time is something very abstract and it differs from people to people. For some people, time is aplenty and for others its not enough. Sometimes the scheduling that we make could be disastrous and calamity tends to happen. but others it seems that there is just too much time for some menial work.

How do you measure the worth of the time? Is taking time off for yourself a waste of time?

I think if you spend time with something you believe to be good and right, be it alone, with family, colleagues or friends, its all good, just to make sure that you do not neglect your responsibilities that go with it.

Now i feel that managing time is very important, but to micro manage time, is utterly ridiculous.
Think about it and you'll come to realise that not everything needs to be a certain order, but it helps if it does to keep things in balance. learn to adapt and time will never let you down again.

On another note, time is so abstract, therefore, when you have it, even little of it, say "I Love You" to someone or anyone, it will brighten up their day, and maybe even yours. :)

Internet Down for a week!

Next Monday onwards, i wont be participating on my online activities at home for the duration of the week.
This is due to me upgrading my service plan for TM NET Streamyx.
People have been ranting that TM service is rubbish, frequent problems and slow and worst of all the customer service is bad. But i beg to differ, you see, though they have reasonably bad service of internet connection, they are the cheapest internet service provider in Malaysia and they offer the best and widest coverage for fixed lines, and in my opinion, that surpasses any wireless technology to date.
The issue is, that TM has become very much complacent because they are able to offer the "cheapest" service to end customers and they neglect to further expand their market to better improve their service and support.
In countries like Singapore and Indonesia and Hong Kong and Thailand, our neighbours essentially, a 10MB line or even higher bandwidth line is fast becoming the norm because of its wide availability and relative pricing scheme.
I do hope that with the woes im facing currently with the Excruciatingly slow speeds, it will be resolved with my upcoming investment. :)

Chickens and Eggs

I don't know how many have heard of the Chicken and the Egg story and honestly i don't even know how it became to be such a popular anecdote. It starts with, "Which came 1st, the Chicken or the Egg?"

This question, basic as it may seem, is actually a very defining question as it covers, philosophy, religion, science, and psychology as is covers all the grounds for the basis of human understanding.

In philosophy and psychology, it can define a person on how they would reply which of the 2 came 1st. There are 2 types of answers to this question, if you answer one of the other and get not essence of significant rational behind it, or you answer with a rationality which could be plausible but not confirmed. In both answers though, there lie a common ground, the answers all come back to Faith or Belief in something.

Which now brings me to religion. Religion is a system of belief in a higher power or set of rules that guide our way of life. with the many religions out there, the religions of the book; Islam, Christianity and Judaism believe in monotheism which is the belief of a Supreme being. What this has to do with the chicken and egg is,

In scripture, it is written that God created man in his own image. and all the beasts and the land and the sea. Therefore the answer to which came first is irrelevant as God created them simultaneously.

In Science however, the dominant theory that applies is Darwin's Theory of Evolution. in his theory of evolution, he mentions that we are all evolutions of a primitive being evolved into supreme beings. Again what has it got to do with the chicken and egg?

If the chicken came 1st, where did it hatch from, if the egg came 1st how did it get laid?

This is the most crucial answer however in my humble opinion, is that the egg came first.

My interpretations on which the answer was concluded is:

God Created man in his own image, and then he created the beasts, creatures, plants and land. God's measure of time is infinite, therefore by the time he had created man, the process would have taken several lifetimes over and we as primitive beings would understand that length of time to me unmeasurable. By that logic, Gods creation of man would look like an evolutionary cycle that Darwin has proposed.
Now chickens weren't the only beings which laid eggs, there were other primitive reptiles that also laid eggs long before the "birds" came into existance, and "Birds" and still said to be an evolution of ancient reptiles. Therefore the egg came 1st and a chicken is a form of evolution.

this answer could answer Darwin's theory, Religion and Philosophy in a profound manner or in a utter ridiculous rant. You be the judge. Its only an opinion from a small soul here in Malaysia. :)

Sultans of Swing - Dire Straights

You get a shiver in the dark
Its been raining in the park but meantime
South of the river you stop and you hold everything
A band is blowing dixie double four time
You feel all right when you hear that music ring

You step inside but you don't see too many faces
Coming in out of the rain to hear the jazz go down
Too much competition too many other places
But not too many horns can make that sound
Way on down-south way on down-south London town

You check out Guitar George he knows all the chords
Mind hes strictly rhythm he doesn't want to make it cry or sing
And an old guitar is all he can afford
When he gets up under the lights to play his thing

And harry doesn't mind if he doesn't make the scene
Hes got a daytime job hes doing alright
He can play honky-tonk just like anything
Saving it up for Friday night
With the sultans with the sultans of swing

And a crowd of young boys they're fooling around in the corner
Drunk and dressed in their best brown baggies and their platform soles
They don't give a damn about any trumpet playing band
It ain't what they call rock and roll
And the sultans played creole

And then the man he steps right up to the microphone
And says at last just as the time bell rings
thank you goodnight now its time to go home
And he makes it fast with one more thing
we are the sultans of swing

Friends of New and of Old

How do you classify a friend?

- Someone who is always there?
- Someone who listens when you need it?
- Someone who shares your Joys and Pains?
- Someone who wants to always be a helping hand?
- Someone who helps you in time of trials?
- Someone who sits by your side for companionship?
- Someone who assists you selflessly?

if these are the qualifications of a friend, what are the 'friends' who:

- Is around but never have time?
- Is around but have their own problems?
- Is around but surrounded by sadness and misery?
- Is around but has other priorities?
- Is away but calls/texts/emails you regularly?
- Is with you but unfocused?
- Is around but no activities abound?
- Is trying to be there by not being there?

there is a saying, "A Friend in Need, is a Friend Indeed" it is not a good one in my opinion as i look at friendship as having more that someone in need, but rather than having someone who can be counted upon and vice-versa when necessary.

I look at my:
-Childhood Friends
-Primary School Friends
-Secondary School Friends
-Tuition Friends,
-Catechism Friends,
-Prefectorial Friends,
-Best Friends,
-College Friends,
-Work Friends,
-Random Friends,
-Neighbourhood Friends,
-Mamak Friends,
-Bar Friends,
-Pub Friends,
-Teh Tarik Friends
-Midnight Friend,
-Midday Friends,
-Street Friends,
-Church Friends,
-Youth Friends,
-Society Friends,
-Delinquent Friends,
-Girl/Boy Friends,
-Family Friends,
-New Friends,
-Old Friends,
-Acquaintances.

They have all been there for me at 1 time or another, but who among them can i count to be there and can i always spare time to be with at the different stages in my life?
I do hope that i can always have a connection to each and everyone of them, but what does reality hold for anyone...

There is a saying, that True Friends are Few, i hope that this is not a reality as i would love to have many good friends as this would make life richer and meaningful. But misers cant be pickers and if few friends remain good friends, so be it.

What/who do you consider a friend?

Long weekend, and it's not over

It has really been a long weekend within the span of night of 28th August right up to midnight 31st August 2009. I have crossed lands to Negeri Sembilan, Wilayah Perseketuan, Selangor, Perak, Kedah, Perlis, Langkawi, P. Pinang, Danuk (thai border after kayu hitam) and back just in this time.

Thats a load of travelling man! and it was GREAT fun!

I'm fortunate to have had Eric and Dheeraj to follow my mom and myself for this trip as they definitely helped me in the form of driving all the way up north and back and it definitely made our backs better for not straining ourselves excessively.

Then there was the Glorious Food.
Amazing penang and thailand was when it comes to the food, i have never expected to have great food at a fraction of the cost that KL would have offered and for the fullness of flavour that penang and Thailand has to offer.

Traditional Massage,
Thailand is THE place where massages are amazing, we throughly enjoyed our massages at Danuk where after a long drive and stuff, we managed to relax for a stint.

Then there was Booze,
Langkawi is still amazing when it comes to drinks and still decent to hit back chenang beach with a couple of drinks in hand with good company.
We were greeted by my mothers friend and my other friend to just have a superb night there and then followed by a retreat back the next morning to Kuala Perlis.

after returning we were stuck at a massive traffic jam from Gopeng right up to home, but we still made it is beautiful time, and hit the sack before the morning was over.

Cmg weekend, Singapore :)
following weekend, Kampung Pandan/Melaka...
What a month :P

Morning Has Broken

Morning Has Broken,
Like the 1st Morning,
Blackbird has Spoken,
Like the 1st Bird,

Praise for the Singing,
Praise for the Morning,
Praise for the Springing,
Fresh from the Word.

This was a song from Cat Stevens in the 70's and it was a beautiful song then and still is now.
Still echoing today that clear message that every new day is as beautiful as the last :)

Forgiveness, the key to Tolerance!

Last night i prayed as i stepped into the house, as i didn't know what would have happened with all the hu-ha happening at the vicinity. I took a simple prayer asking me for tolerance and patience, because i know that something has happened in MY room and i wouln't have liked it.
I slowly crepe upstairs and noticed that the atmosphere was really different. upon arriving at the tip of the stairway, i ignored my room and went to check out the situation at my previously sisters' owned room, only to notice something really amazing. There wasnt a wall there. :P

After the breathtaking view of the room, i decided to face the truth and looked into my room.
It wasn't so bad, the cupboards have been shifted a little and a bed frame was there, but my computer was still in tact as it is. and i stepped in to have a look and i thought it was alright.
I carried on with my dinner and after that, i noticed that some boxes werent anywhere to be seen, and upon pressing this matter i found out that there were put into a place which is by far, unreachable. For some reason, that really threw me off and i decided to walk away without a word, as i know i was about to explore.

I told myself that it was of no problem and tried to sleep it off, but somehow it was always at the back of my head. This morning however, i got up and took a hard look at myself on how i handled things the night before and was completely dissatisfied with myself and went to look for my mom to apologize to her. I felt that asking her forgiveness was the right thing to do and it made me feel all the more secure with myself.

Now i know that everytime i am faced with a difficult thought in mind, i can always just take a step back, and admit that sometimes as humans are, i can't understand or change Everything, but i can always acknowledge the work that has been done and compromise with a little tolerance and make sure everyone is happy.
I'm sorry mom, i do hope you understand that :)

Accidents and Experiences

Its that time of year again, where I tend to get affected with a little misfortune but overall still manage to work things out. This morning on my way to work, i was just inflicted with a Traffic Accident. :(

It was when i was coming down Jalan Bukit Pantai where there was some construction work going on and the workers were spreading water across the street and my tyres just did not have enough grip to hold the "wet" road and i slammed into a Perdana. :( It was very fortunate that the person i hit (Kuhan) was very cool headed about it and did not put me in an exasperated state. After introduction and pictures, i learnt that he is a friend of a friends' brother.

We calculated the wear of the damages and were very amicable about the difference and all in we settled the issue that he would send it to his mechanic and bill me shortly after the repair works have been made. Thank God that it was someone familiar and we could settle the problem in a peaceful fashion.

Now to my car, It was similar to the problem faced the last time on which the bonet caved in again and knocking needs to be done extensively. Sighz. Round 2 begins after 3 months. I tell you, Its these little things that make you appreciate the finer things in life. you tend to be more cautious and learned when a situation like this proposes itself on you. By Gods will, i will sustain my experiences of this incident and take a lesson from it.

Live and Learn

Sometimes life is all about persevering and learning. Times are trying and makes thing that are unnecessary and yet are worthwhile in the end. Its all about having a positive outlook and modesty that anything that happens is worthwhile and would be a learning experience. Once that is resolved, you will take to learn the everything you do would be enjoyable and fun.

I am partially between the here and there when it comes to taking useless activities with a pinch of salt, i never did understand why would my teacher keep telling me to complete my redundant homework again and again, but now i realise that its not the work that counted so much per say, its the effort that i put into it and the ideals that the more effort put will accomplish a better outcome and result.

I Love taking up new challenges and ideals, but sometimes im just to nonchalant to actually do something about it. In this Hurdy-Gurdy life we live, its difficult to just stop and wonder, "what is it that really matters?"

Weekend of Awesomeness!

I suddenly feel like an American...
I'm just feeling Awesome right now.
The weekend for the Youth Rally with the theme of Different, Dynamic and Discipleship or Youth 3D was really an event that was simply Magnificent. I have not had that much fun in a very long time and seriously can say that we have a Great Loving God.
Thanks to the Organising committee that planned this event and to Father Clarence for supporting the development of this rally.
Its just enlightening to know that there will always be a source of hope even in the darkest of times.

Praise be to God for his Greatness, Awesomeness, Power, Love and Care.

Youth Rally 2009 Fatima Church KL

The Youth of Our Lady of Fatima will be having a Youth Rally this weekend on the 22nd and 23rd August 2009. This is the first official activity that has been conducted for the youths in order to revive the nearly extinguished flames of the Youth in the parish.

The youth movement have been pretty slow in the uptake since the New Committee took over and there just hasn't been a push to justify a movement in the parish. Now this Rally is to revive that passion and justification to uphold the will and call of the church in a choice to serve.

The rally is open to all Fatima Youth (this time round to revive ourselves before calling others.) aged between 16 and 22. and its on the weekend of the school holidays which is really convenient to the targeted age group :) It will be a 7 Step activity which will initiate ice breakers, praise and worship, socializing, and deep self thought about the faith standing of individuals and the youth in general.

I do hope that this activity will initiate a chain reaction to open the youths of the parish again. and i leave you with these words from the song "pass it on":

It only takes a Spark,
To get the fire Going,
And soon all those around,
Can warm up in its glowing,

That's how it is with Gods love,
Once you've Experienced it,
You spread its love to everyone,
You want to pass it on. :)

80/20

Why is it there are some geniuses out there that proved this 80/20 rule? its severely irritating because its highly accurate.

Be it in the computing world, economical world, or social world, its a likely that the 80/20 rule applies. You haven't heard of the 80/20 proportion? Ok then, let me explain.

Its called the Pareto Principle on which that 80% of something is due to the remaining 20%. Still don't get me? Just imagine in project management concepts you understand that the 1st and last 10% of the project will cost more and take the most time than the middle 80% of development. In Sales, 80% of your revenue usually comes from 20% of your clients. In Social Media, 80% of Advertisements respond to 20% of actual sales.

It also applies to people where 80% of working adults tend to spend 1st and save later and the remaining 20% always saves 1st and spend later. It's difficult to categorize these groups as it varies according to countries and regions, some people just need to spend to make a living, and some people (usually the capable) will live and think of making a saving.

Anyways it further boils down to Mr Cyril Northcote Parkinson's theory on which stands "Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion."
He was an Economist by trade and therefore understood the concept of supply and demand. he stated that:
"The demand upon a resource tends to expand to match the supply of the resource."

An extension is often added to this, stating that:

"the reverse is not true."

But in the reality of things the force of Human WillPower can far surpass expectations of any theory and prove even these geniuses wrong. But the ratio of the people overcoming this principle would probably be 20% rather than 80%.

Rallying On to the End

Life is a rally with turns and bounds at every corner. Just when you think you see the checkpoint or goal at your view, you end up just finding another curve, hill and valley that will send you plummeting into chaos or make you shine by establishing you leadership skills in the world of uncertainty.
The checkpoints you go through are common events and goals, such as Birthdays, anniversaries, Graduations, Job Acceptance, Promotions, Gifts, Presents, People, Family, Friends, Happy Times, Sad Times, Disappointment, Achievement, Loss of Life, Gain of Life, New Family, Lay-offs, Economic despair, Richness, and most of all Love.
How would you define Love?
Love in a scientific form is indeed the release of pheromones and endorphins that attract a mate for the purpose of procreation.
Love in a Religious form is a form of sacrifice, love of neighbour, love of God, love of self.
Love in my term is the ability to tolerate, guide and help people regardless of their background and do not discriminate just because of who they are at that point or who they were.
Love is understanding and Tolerance to work up to be better people with morals and Good.
Love is Patience to understand hard and troubled times.
Love is wisdom to look at the bigger picture when things start to get awry.
Love is all around to everyone you meet, do not hold a special love for some and disregard the rest as God has thought me that love is eternal and should be shared with everyone, friend or enemy.

I Love You, Friends, Family and Strangers... Say it Loud and Proud.

I used to write poetry because that is how i connected with myself,
but now the poetry is gone all withers away,
I used to sing because a song in my heart always wanted to come out,
but now the song is burrowed in silence,
I used to laugh because life was a joke and peace was all around,
but now in tears i spend in a hollow heart,
Not tomorrow will i sit in despair,
for nothing can make me worse,
for the love i have to share,
i will share with the world.

Silence is Golden

Silence is Golden, But My Eyes Still See....
There is a lesson that you can take from silence, as it speaks to everyone. Silence usually brings a feeling of solemnity and honour to a person as it does not give way for people to judge. How can i live in silence when everything is chaos and hectic, its simply by just understanding self and listening to what silence has to say.

After which there usually is an inspiration from which wisdom and love can culminate into the heart and soon after peace follows into your self being.

Then again, why would i rant about silence when i got nothing else to do but to sit in the silence.
Till another time and day, i will continue to believe that silence can bring me this peace which i want to achieve.

Hail Mary! Full of Grace!

Tomorrow is the Feast of the Assumption of Mary. As a Roman Catholic who wants to know more about this sacred event on which is deemed as a Day of Obligation over such reverence i headed to research.

This Doctrine defines with the teachings of the Catholic church says that upon the end of her life, Mary was assumed into heaven Body and Soul where her body would not decay on Earthly bounds.
She holds a great place in the Scripture as being the Mother of Jesus and furthermore since Jesus is part of the Holy Trinity, she indefinitely became the Mother of God.

She has been blessed as to being the Chosen mother and when she was in term and visited her sister Elizabeth, the baby in Elizabeth's womb lept at the sound of Mary's voice as the babe recognised the Mother of God.

Mail Mary
Full of Grace,
The Lord is With You,
Blessed are You Among Women,
and Blessed is the Fruit,
of Your Womb; Jesus,

Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
Pray for us Sinners,
and At the Hour of Our Death,
AMEN.

This prayer starts by scripture on which what Elizabeth said upon greeting Mary, and is followed by an intercessory prayer for all sinners.

Telephone Woes

There seem to be a lot of woes all of a sudden in my case....
My Screen from my precious N82 Nokia cracked yesterday after a massive fall which fell right on a perpendicular angle of the corner which affected the entire phone. The results of which meant i didnt have a phone to use for the later part of the day.

I didnt mind not having a phone, its just that all my contacts and information in the phone is somewhat important to me and i do hope that the technicians will be able to handle the matter gracefully without so much as killing whats left of it.

I have been wanting to change my phone for some time now, but i havent really backed up my stuff to migrate to a new phone, and therefore having said that, i was really depressing.

Me being a paranoid a** anyways located a backup for the settings and contact numbers of my phone on my computer and thank God that i still have it... although it was dated 26th May :(

Oh well looks like after the repairs i will have to look out for a replacement unit for the phone and update my entirity of mobile lifestyle...

Wow! the serial Numbers :(

Today i just installed hard-disk drives and formatted 9 computer systems and re-installed Windows XP Professional and updated all of them to XP3 and installed .NET framework 1.1, 2.0, 3.5 in the systems and updated all the patched.

within the process i had to enter the serial numbers, check whether the components work and are running.

not to mention, that when i get back to the place i cal home, i have another 2 systems to deal with and i dont know how i am gonna manage it along with the delivery of the units tomorrow...

tiredness to another level. i need a break :(

Yesterday

"Yesterday, All My Troubles Seem So Far Away" - Beatles

Yesterday was simple sitting by a tree,
Yesterday was easy and always care free,
Yesterday was nice with abundant friends,
Yesterday was without hearts to mend,

Today it seems a little blue,
Today it seems very lonely,
Today its without you,
Today i miss you wholly,

Tomorrow i will be happier though,
Tomorrow i will break down the bough,
Tomorrow i will rise and celebrate,
Tomorrow i will not sulk on my plate,

For yesterday is a memory,
One i hold most dear,
Today is an experience,
On which i shall hold no fear,
Tomorrow will be today and again yesterday,
So i'll celebrate living another day.

Merdeka! The Only Time To Be United?

Tanggal Tiga Puluh Satu,
Bulan Lapan, Lima Puluh Tujuh,
Merdeka, Merdeka, Tetaplah Merdeka,
Ia Pasti Menjadi Sejarah!

Mari Kita Seluruh Warganegara,
Ramai Ramai Menyahut Hari Merdeka,
Merdeka!
Tiga Satu Bulan Lapan, Lima Puluh Tujuh,
Mari Mulia, Negaraku Merdeka...

This composition from Sudirman has long been the main theme for Merdeka! ever since i can remember and more. To me its the best song that our country has made to celebrate our independance. It has charisma, it has meaning, and it has spirit. Unlike some never songs that TRY to focus solely on unity, but end up being overplayed and underapreciated.

Is Merdeka on the 31st August the only time we are supposed to be united?
I reckon that instead of dedicating a Day or an extention a Month (Like Patriotism Month in School) to actually motivate this celebration of Unity as often as possible.

Why do we limit ourselves to 1 day, when we strive to be better people every day of our lives. Sure the national initiative has budgets and the economy to worry about, but if these values are instilled in from the grassroots and at an early age, it will develop senses of acceptance, peace and understanding between the various races, religions, classes and segretations of the society.

I have grown to believe that everyone is the same, until an individual proves me wrong, everyone shares the same right and freedom and trust and i am surely not alone in this mindset. We need to understand that we are united as a people, as Malaysians, and not as sarawakian, sabahan, malay, chinese, indian, bumiputera, and the like.

I give a common but good example, in america, once you're a citizen, either you're black, white, hispanic, asian, or whatever, you share the same priviledge as calling yourselves American.
Why does this not happen to our very own dear Malaysia...

As being the centre of the Trade Route and the Pinnacle of South East Asia, why is there so much segregation dwelled into out daily routine. Our current Prime Minister, Dato' Seri Najib Tun Razak has just launched a National Campaign called 1Malaysia. This is a good idea, but essentially, it should focus more on the development on moral values rather than charity to all malaysians.

I am not too well versed in the current Legal and Political standings, but i do know that once we achieve at the root level a sense of pride, love and unity, malaysia will grow stronger than ever before and accomplish much more that we are currently holding up too.

Specialist Centre

What is it would constitute as a specialist?

Is it someone who is trained in the arts or sciences to do something?

Is it someone who can manage in the likes of chaos and restrictions?

Is it someone who can do something exceptionally well?

Is it someone who does things to their utmost potential?

Is it someone who takes care of you in dire and levied times?

Is it a financier or supporter who promises change?

Is it a person who can relate and resolve a problem?

Just ask yourself now and see how can you justify is someone a specialist, and what will they do to justify their status as a specialist?

Has anyone said to you about their stature only to deceive you ultimately in the event you put your faith and trust in him? How would you judge a person on their talents and skills and if found untrue, would you trust them again or give them another chance?

I believe that honesty is of the utmost essence, but ultimately even with deception thrown at you, you will need to learn to forgive, and advice if possible. Because, in life as human's we make mistakes, it is unfair to not allow anyone to learn from their mistakes and give them an opportunity to learn from them!

What have you done today, this week, this month, this year that has benefited someone?
Are you a specialist?
Do you specialize in good or otherwise?
Reflect and you'll understand what it means to be a better person. :)

The Gift of Life

What is life but a collection of memories that we have garnered over the years? Is life fulfilled by the fact that we have success, failure, wealth, poverty, health, sickness, friends, foe, family, stranger, career, joblessness, loved ones, enemies, someone who cares about you, someone who despises you, spouse, unknown, children, parents, meaning of life, meaning of death, companions, solidarity, memories, forgetfulness, eccentricity, wisdom, seen the world, stayed at home, help a stranger, neglect to help, help anyone, shy away, does it hold any relevance to life?

Essentially, i would like to believe that to have a good life, all of the above mentioned has to be present in addition to a little randomness. Once you have these criteria fulfilled, you can always look forward to achieving a better more fulfilled life.

Wise words from W.H. Davies' Leisure

"WHAT is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare?—.
No time to stand beneath the boughs,
And stare as long as sheep and cows"

Rainbows and Daffodils

Imagine waking up to a sunny day,
Imagine a smile in the month of may,
Dream of Rainbows and Daffodils,
Let you trouble fly at will,
For smiles and happiness awaits you,
Not withstanding another day blue,
An autumn breeze and summer gale,
could never turn a winter's pale,
but close to happiness will i feel,
with Rainbows and Daffodils the limelight steal.

Hello Father!

The past week has been a daze for me... It has been a mixture of feelings that are quite disheartening and also relaxing at the same time. There were moments on which i just felt like bursting into tears, and moments that are filled with "Great Calm".

The thing i can sense at both these moments are that ultimately, it felt good after, almost serene. I spent the end of the week (thursday and friday) just wondering what significance these happenings have installed for me, and ultimately its just that i miss my family...

Imagine having a very unsure moment just before retiring to a day on your bed and you have absolutely no idea what is going on and its just that point, you feel a blanket of serenity just cover you and you'll feel at peace. Thats how i'd describe this feeling.

God is so good and this past week its been amazing. Just once in a while its really a blessing to just play some hillsongs and listen to them. I have never felt this feeling in a long time and it was a really good feeling.

God Will Make a Way,
When There Seems to be No Way,
He Works in Ways We Cannot See,
He Will Make a Way for Me,
He Will be my Guide,
Hold me Closely to His Side,
With Love and Strength for Each New Day,
He Will Make a Way, He Will Make a Way.

Time Goes By So Slowly

Time is a force that moves along the plane of the fourth dimension. In case you didn't know, the 1st 3 dimensions are width, height and length. After detailed calculations in the field of physics, it was concluded that there are many more than 3 dimensions in the real plane and the conclusion brought out the 4th Dimension which is time.

There are many more Dimensions on which Physicists and Theologists have been working on day and night to explore, but the most interesting among them is time. Time as is it said moved very slowly and yet its one of the fastest things in history.

The measurement of time as done by humans is that we have seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades, millenniums etc... but how do we use these measurements.
It is said that in a day, we have 24 hours, which translates to 1440 Minutes, which gives 86400 seconds. but the thing about time is that, it never stops, which makes it Extremely quick, but to achieve the final number in a day, it can also be very slow.

I bring back to the theory or Einstein, where he says that the Theory of Relativity is relevant to a particular object and not time as a whole. Time moves and affects everyone differently and that is why some people have time to do great things and the rest have time to do nothing.

But all things considered in this small mind trying to understand Einstein, Time moves unilaterally for everyone, we all have the same 24 hours in a day, whats different is how we use it. Once we can understand the essence of the usage of time. We can then understand how it effects us and make a real change.

Now do not say time is slow, but work on working to fill the gaps left by time :)

Of all the Things I've Lost, I Missed My Mind the Most!

Keeping sane is this chaotic world is definitely a feature on which should be respected. Things just happen, good or bad, they just happen. Sometimes something good comes along your way, sometimes something not so good, but something gotta give. Then once you understand that something has happened, Another event is waiting in line yet again.

Of all the Things I've Lost, I Missed my Mind the Most.
Its easy to get lost within yourself and to sometimes just get lost, but what happens when your mind decided to let YOU go? What becomes of an idle body with no mind to monitor actions and ponder on events.

I Have a Dream....... but in the end it was never practiced,
I Have a Dream....... but i am too lazy to see it through,
I Have a Dream....... but i prefer to look at it as i sleep,
I Have a Dream....... but somehow my reality took presidence.

Now get off your dream and get off your chair,
Make it a reality and stop pulling your hair,
Keep things simple and never despair,
take things easy and always have time to spare,
love thy neighbour, family, friends,
for there will be no one who'll help you in the end.

If you've lost your mind and miss it the most, locate it and hope for the best and rediscover it before you loose yourself.

Mobile Vs Immobile

Some people have tendencies to believe anything. Some people believe that being mobile and connected is the same as being free. Sadly though, there is a double edged sword in the case of mobile freedom in which lies a hidden imprisonment.

Having the freedom to actually taste life and wonder about is certainly a wonder which captivates the smallest of being to the greatness of life. It teaches you to be happy and contented with the development of life be it slow or hastily. By this progression, you will appreciate things more so than if you are always moping and whinning about whats coming up next.

There is however what people call Mobile freedom. This is a form of communication quickly gaining momentum on which people communicate not verbally face-2-face, but via mobile instrument such as laptops, mobile phones, and computers. Upon closer inspection of these technologies, there is a determinant factor which makes this type of freedom more "seclusive" and therefore more of a new age imprisonment.

Its a given that having a computer with internet access can open up a World of Possibilities, but how many things can really captivate you and keep you hooked in this small things we call Life. There are so many more possibilities to learn out there unshackled by the "communication freedom" which can get us a fuller experience of either joys or sadness.

Next time someone tells you of a new piece of technology, try telling them that the world is too big, beautiful and lovely to sit in only 1 room rather that to explore it. World is growing smaller people say, but it is also becoming more diverse, which can lead to a lot more interesting combinations of friends and experiences.

Live it out to the fullest, not Live it in....

I'm a Travelling Man!

It comes to no surprise to people when i tell them i wont be around at a certain time in a month or year. Its mostly due to the fact that I am my mother's son. Which in turn leads to the fact that i like to travel.

It never was like that, but i guess over the years, it has turned out to be one of the defining things about me. Life is to be lived not endured, and therefore i live life instead of sitting on the passenger seat in this big string cheese called life.

August has a nice ring to it, its my favourite month in the year other than December. It has many wonderful birthdays, Many occasions on which i hold dear, such as the Feast of Assumption and Independence Day A.K.A. Merdeka! and its always a beautiful time of the year, not too far in, and not the end as yet.

I planned to step down from travelling excessively in august and lie back with my friends chilling and just coasting the month, but that leaves a lot to interpertation. We'll see how that goes.

For another time then. cheers.

What a Sick moment in time

This time around is the moment on which everyone i know, including myself are falling sick. Its the most irritating feeling to have when you are under the weather and so is everyone around you...

Not to mention, there is also a Scare about the Avian flu in the last year and a progression of the flu to Swine flu... otherwise known as H1N1...

Though i know that no one has the symptoms of H1N1, its still irritating for ppl to keep pointing it out. Doctors also on the matter tend to instigate that everything they see seems like Dengue.

Alls well now and hope that everything will remain intact and get better quickly.

The Weekend of Mixed up Feelings

Since the dawn of Thursday all 5 days ago, i've been under the weather with slight development of fever and some body ache, on which at that point i urged myself to seek medical attention. upon inspection for 2 hours at the clinic, i was told by the doctor to get a blood test as i may have contracted Dengue.

This is horrific news for me and i suppose it would be to anyone as well. But its because of a certain phobia which i have about dengue and weddings. The last wedding which i barely managed to not attend was exactly 2 years ago on which my father was suspected with dengue and eventually passed away for it.

Another reason is that on that very Saturday i was supposed to be the Best Man for my Cousin's wedding ceremony and reception. This ailment was a hamper to everything because everyone felt the connection of the string of events with my late father's case.

To top it all off, Thursday night was an incredibly awful night on which i could not rest on the bed due to excruciating body heat and internal chills which definitely took its toll the following morning, where i went to visit the physician again for a Blood check.

After the test came back negative, (thank God) he gave me a booster medicinal package for the rest of the weekend. luckily, that was the worst of it. It was only uphill from there and i managed to pull through enough strength to assure my Best Man Role and make it to the weekend.

I would like to thank everyone that wished me well and prayed for me because i am sure that by those wishes, prayers and my determination, was the key for my recovery back over the weekend. :)

IT Workers Suffering From New Form of Tourette's Syndrome

San Jose, CA - The Tourette’s Syndrome Association (TSA) has released a study indicating that more than 82% of all IT Workers are suffering from a new form of the Tourette’s Syndrome called Adult Onset Technical Support Tourette's Syndrome or TSTS for short.
The TSA began the study in April of 2002 after receiving a large volume of concerned requests for more information on Tourette’s from IT managers of various companies. The study indicates that more than 98% of IT workers suffering from TSTS work in helpdesk-like positions providing support over the phone. “Phone support is the perfect medium, it encourages TSTS,” stated TSA spokesman Daniel J. Conti. “There either needs to be a change in how these companies provide support, or their employers need to provide medication and mental care for these employees.”
Only one IT manager that helped to provide a study group for the TSA was willing to comment, but at his request the company he represents and his identity have been withheld. He would not answer any questions, but provided the following transcript of a phone call that is a key example of the disorder:
IT Worker: Thank you for calling ___. How can I help you?
Caller: Oh, geez my other phone is ringing, can you hold for a moment?
ITW: Ahh…
C: Great, thanks
ITW: Of course I’ll hold. You son of a b*tch. DIE!!!
1 minute later
C: Thanks, my Microsoft doesn’t work.

ITW: GRRR!!! DIE!!!

ITW: Okaaay… What are you trying to do?
C: Get my email.
ITW: Ok, what version of Windows do you have?
C: Whatever the latest one is.
ITW: So you have Windows Vista?
C:No, it’s Windows 2001 NT.

ITW: Ha-Ha-HA-HAA!!! DIE!!!

ITW: Okay, could you please click the start button and tell me what it says on the left?
C: …Nothing…

ITW: IDIOT! DIE!!!

C: Oh, wait did you mean click the Start button for Windows? That says Windows 2000. I was looking for the Start button on my computer and that just says NEC MultiSync P750.

ITW: Dear God, please smite this moron dead to keep him from spreading his seed… DIE!!!

ITW: Great, that was exactly what I was looking for. Now if you could let’s click Start, then Settings and then Control Panel. Once you have the Control Panel open go ahead and double click on the Mail icon.
C: I don’t have a Mail icon.

ITW: Another unanswered prayer… DIE!!!

ITW: It should be listed alphabetically.
C: No.
ITW: Yes.
C: Oh, I see it now, it’s after Internet Options. OK, it’s open.

ITW: Well, my dear village IDIOT, alphabetically means that I is before M… DIE!!!

ITW: OK, great. Right-Click once on Microsoft Exchange server and click properties. Once that opens click the Advanced tab.
C: I don’t have an advanced tab and I don’t see Microsoft Exchange server. It says Mouse Properties.

ITW: DIE!!! DIE!!! DIE!!!

ITW: OK, this is the wrong one, so just click cancel. Then try to double click the Mail icon again.
C: I can’t.
ITW: You can’t?
C: No, I rebooted.
ITW: Okaaay… Might I ask why?
C: I was afraid I’d done the wrong thing, so I rebooted.

ITW: May killer, bloodthirsty monkey’s ride into your home in the middle of the night on spastic, rabid goats and eat your liver!!! DIIIE!!!!!
“What is really scary is that when he is talking to the caller he is using the kindest, nicest voice I have ever heard. That caller even wanted to talk to his manager to compliment him on his exemplary service,” John G. said. “But then out of nowhere it’s like Satan takes his place. What’s worse is that they’re all like this…”

M. Justin Version 6.4

There have been many software versions of the M.Justin software predating Version 5.3.4.5. notably Version 3 onwards which have had stable operating systems dating back from 1995.

Version 3 is known for its stable databases systems which can store many types of memories and information in an epic scale and this neuro-network databases have been carried on through the future versions of the M. Justin Software. There were some inconsistencies with the Version as it was always be unstable when approached with the question "kenapa ada nama perempuan?" excessively.

Version 4 was better known as the Social Model on which was often portrayed as the living entity in the background and often be in the lime-light of a social network. It always participated in Large network activities such as sports and Video games on which garnered a reputation of being an all arounder. There was a known bug wiich till version 5 has been difficult to remove as it was called Lazyness. this bug has been very persistent and impossible to remove, but off late has be showing signs of deteriation. We're hoping that it will fade with future versions.

This current version of Version 5.3.4.5 has been thoroughly outdated at this point and reaching the end of the Life Cycle. Patches and updates have reached a critical point and with the release of Ver. 6 Early this year, its only fair to update to it and patch it up all the way to 6.4. Version 5 updated events like, Emotional Management, Financial Management and Time Management all packaged in a suite of the LifeMe suite. This is an AI based suite which learns to adapt to many different scenarios and situations depending on the remaining system resources.

I do hope to have an open conversation regarding this issue and have opinions regarding the software upgrade. I do wish it is compatible with the current hardware as well. Version 6 comes with well known upgrades as follows:
1) Flexibility in operating hours
2) Mobility with additional Responsibilities
3) Reserved period between 8am-7pm Weekdays
4) Updated method of Internet communications
5) Updated module on Socializing and Connecting to friends
6) Reboot period cut down to 1 time a month rather than every week.

Till another time, versions of the M. Justin software will be now closed for discussion and will be re-openned when there is another error or when a thread emerges.

Microsoft Purchases Evil From Satan

Microsoft Purchases Evil From Satan

By Brian Briggs

Redmond, WA - Microsoft purchased evil from Satan for $2.7 billion after many months of tough negotiations.

"We've been after Satan for some time," said CEO Steve Ballmer. "Negotiations were tough, but I think both Microsoft and the Prince of Darkness are happy with this deal."

Microsoft already controls 15% of the evil market, and with this purchase that number nears 100%. The Department of Justice voiced concerns over one corporation controlling so much evil, and launched investigations.

"We feel that there are real opportunities with evil, and that when evil is integrated into our next generation of Windows products consumers will appreciate evil on their desktop," said Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates. "Businesses haven't been able to fully realize their evil potential. With evil integrated into Office 2007, corporations big and small will begin to see enhanced evil productivity."

"Evil is a real growing market," market strategist Frank Dresgan of Merrill Lynch explained. "Microsoft is a little late in the game, but even when they enter a market late they still tend to dominate. I think we'll see the same results with evil."

"I've been dealing with Microsoft for some time," Lucifer said. "I've been at this evil thing for millions of years, and wanted a way out. I considered an IPO, but then Steve-O and Billy came along and told me about their 'Evil Everywhere' plan. I just couldn't refuse."

Evil was founded by Satan close to the beginning of time. It has been growing steadily ever since, although most of the growth has accelerated in the past five years with the development of the Internet. Satan plans to retire to a small island in the Bahamas and write a column for the local newspaper.

P.A.R.T. Y? Because i Gotta!

Well another weekend which started out plain enough with hearthache, pain, sweat and misery ended up to be a Walla-Wallaing good time when the clouds broke in the Saturday with the intensity of the Sun.

Friday was something which i cannot comprehend and understand as well as something so exhilarating it was a good thing that i actually decided to come along and being coerced by my brothers in arms.

Although my plans were packed from the AM till the time i got home, i never thought that Chaos could be a good contributing factor to look forward too to have fun.

When i arrived to the club at 10ish at night, i was greeted by my buddies and we headed onto the club; Hello Bali.

Upon entering the club we got into the VIP lounge and met up with some of the girls which were supposedly in our party. But although the music thumping was off the hook and amazing, i noticed that i havent as yet eaten the entire day and with that in mind, knew that i would collapse if i continue on the way i was.

Immediately i rushed down the club only to realize that it was pretty late at night and most of the eateries were closed, i therefore called upon another friend of mine to acompany me to Steven's TeaGarden (Originally Steven's Corner from Sentul/OUG) to just have a bite with me.
Soon after the late dinner/presupper, i was back in the groove and headed back up to the party at.

1st thing i noticed was that the 3Girls were missing in action and the music has changed. We all just kept to the beat and just went with the flow and before we knew it, it was already midnight. thats when there was a voice in my head that said;

"This is a party, and nothing is gonna get me down, we have the floor, take it or get out the door"

Thats when CHAOS stopped in my head and i started to have fun.

Soon after i heard a friend say, "the other 3 Girls are here" and i was like, ok, whatever, and turn to look at the 3 cabaleros standing with us and joining us in our lounge. Now the party was getting on the way to be a GOOD GOOD NIGHT, and i really enjoyed the company.

Time moved by so quickly after that and i THANK God that i was still in a calm and level mind, although i was actually kinda out of it. We all then agreed to conclude the event with Supper/Breakfast in USJ and return home.
After checking up on everyone if they have arrived safely and let everyone know i got back safely, the night was officially over, with a BANG!

Thanks to everyone involved,
Vinu K.,
Sean S.R.,
Dheeraj P.,
Romi G.,
Aman K.B.,
Carmen S.W.,
Janu N.K.,
Era N.,
and the 3 which we never got to know that flew of the coop (thanks sean)...

Claudia oh Claudia!

What an interesting night last night was...
It started out innocently enough with me making plans with a friend for dinner. Of course i invited some of my friends to join us as well but they all declined saying that i could carry on.
Time came for me to leave work and i went for the dinner, she asked is her sisters could join her and of course i said yes, since i do know all of them anyway.

Can you believe it that during dessert, i get from the waiter a message in a tissue paper with a name and number?
Imagine to my suprise, that i was having difficulty to actually comprehend this unforeseeable event. The name and number for Claudia.

In shock i just shrugged the thought and said that i'd keep it for later if at all anything at all.
In the back of my head though, i did voice out that there could be only 2 ppl i know that could have done such a thing like this, there is Roshan, but he is quietly in America at this point, or Vinu. But, didn't really think much of it till much later.

Soon after, i receive a message by the same waiter, for this Claudia, to meet me at the bar, of course i still couldn't get out there as i was with company at that time.

The company i was with also wanted to reply this Claudia and therefore started sending reply messages on my behalf. Imagine to my shock the type of idiocy messages that went through it all.

Anyways, we were getting a little restless, and decided to conclude the night and asked for the bill.
Soon after doing so, i noticed that i get a poke in my ear and to my suprise i see the 3 stooges; Aman, Vinu and Sean.
Putting the pieces together, i concluded that my hunch was correct and it was lucky enough that i didn't act foolishly into the paws of these fiends of foul play.
Now i know that the name Claudia will always haunt the living daylights of me and will always remind me of Athos, Porthos, and Arimis. Making me feel truly like D'artanon.

Tragic Times We Live In!

Oh so such tragic times we live in this world today,
why is it difficult to just come out and play,
living in estacy by selling your inner soul,
looking for another moment like filling a rice bowl,

dull moments we tend to live on by and by,
nothing ever happens unexpectedly on the fly,
but there is immense forces that bring to play now,
to make a smile everywhere out of every frown,

tell me not tragedy in this modern set of past,
but a memory that will never fade and forever last,
of a friend who always will a positive stride,
taking grace in everything whilst nothing to hide,

yet a rainbow blooms over the eastern summer sky,
a smile blossoms into a laugh and cry,
tick tock does the the time channel through,
to uplift the veil of the times that were ever so blue.
