well, of late i have been wondering would it be more exciting or valuable for me to pursue a masters in my education or to continue with certifications of microsoft, cisco and linux based qualifications?
whats deemed to be more substantial in the course of working-hood.
should i pursue a masters degree in:
Network Programming,
Network Infrastructure,
Communication,
Mobile Communication.
or
get a
MCT (Microsoft Certified Trainer) certificate,
CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) Certificate,
Cisco CCNA & CCNP certificates,
SAPP Qualification.
choices, choices... dont know what more to choose. :S

What if Dr. Seuss Wrote Training Manuals
Here's an easy game to play.
Here's an easy thing to say:
If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
And the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
And the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,
Then the socket packet pocket has an error to report!
If your cursor finds a menu item followed by a dash,
And the double-clicking icon puts your window in the trash,
And your data is corrupted 'cause the index doesn't hash,
Then your situation's hopeless, and your system's gonna crash!
You can't say this? What a shame sir!
We'll find you Another game sir.
If the label on the cable on the table at your house,
Says the network is connected to the button on your mouse,
But your packets want to tunnel on another protocol,
That's repeatedly rejected by the printer down the hall,
And your screen is all distorted by the side effects of gauss
So your icons in the window are as wavy as a souse,
Then you may as well reboot and go out with a bang,
'Cause as sure as I'm a poet, the sucker's gonna hang!
When the copy of your floppy's getting sloppy on the disk,
And the microcode instructions cause unnecessary RISC,
Then you have to flash your memory and you'll want to RAM your ROM.
Quickly turn off the computer and be sure to tell your mom!

Firedwall Systems
now i have been experimenting with Various firewall systems and learnt that the internet is a very despicable place for ppl with very important data flowing day in and day out.
therefore i feel the current standards of internet security in the typical trend of companies these days absolutely horrid.
there are so many forms of threats available in the WWW as they call it, it isnt funny anymore.
there are so many known cases and unknown cases that are files hourly by Security firms such as Symantec and Trend Micro, its just not possible to counter all threats anymore.
but in any reasonable mind, there is always the precaution that can be taken upon one's self to reduce the chances of populating ta breeding ground to base these attacks.
Step1)
Go Original. Original software which is licensed or Free provides the best way to keep a system secure and same from most of the attacks as the community is always discussing ways on improvement. using a less than original copy of something, can sometimes more often than not cause more harm because of the lack in system patches and upgrades.
Step2)
Run Updates Whenever Available. Regardless of the use of Open source or Licensed Software. always run updates whenever possible at the nearest possible convenience.
Step3)
Get Protected and Updated. Get a Proper antivirus system for your computer, smartphone, or server. It is just not safe out there and to keep save, there is no absolute solution for the protection. what i would recommend is if you can afford it is to get a All round security system such as Norton Internet Security 2009, or Pc-Cillin Internet Security, or Kaspersky Internet Security 8.0, because these software have proven ground to be robust and block the majority if threats available currently.
Step4)
Get Backed Up constantly. Keep a Backup of your system on external disks or the like to manage the dataflow in the computer. if there is a irreversible problem that arrises which you could not prevent, you can always restore these backups and continue from that point. irs definitely better than starting from scratch everytime.
Step5)
Get an idea what you use your computer for. Once an idea is formed on what is the general intentions of the computer, it makes it easier to setup and maintain. never float too many ideas at the same time, but never overlook the possibility of having these functions available to you later on.
well then, looks like i have pointed out what i deem to be the 5 most important aspects of safeguarding a computer system. I do hope it will help ppl out there. :)
Till Next time.
Happy Computing all.

Revival of the Busy Workaholic
Well,
i've been away for a while, but the fact of the matter is i was just to lazy to update a blog which i thought of just trying for the heck of it...
but that got me thinking.
In the last 2 months, i have learned so much and done so much that its really rude to not share my experiences and knowledge with the world. :)
i have experienced the intensity of Tutoring, Planning a Holiday, Managing a Dispute between friends, Leant that Ruby is better than Python and PHP, Server Management in a Microsoft platform, Remote Desktop, Port Forwarding, Setting up Ghost Systems, Bonded a Relationship, Successfully Completed a Job, Successfully Got a new Job, enjoyed time with my friends, Promoted in a few aspects of life, Learned to Smile at EVERYONE, learnt to live life with a pinch of salt and a lot of positive energy.
whats more is that i have definitely made myself a better person and know now what is my heading as my compass of life is now looking true north for once and i realized what bearings i have.
